rodental update

Mouse was discovered this morning in Legal's icebox,* after making his way in through a ventilation or power cord hole and a bit of determined chewing. Conflicting reports have the creature dead, on the run, or released into the wild.

UPDATE TO THE UPDATE: It has been confirmed that the alleged rodent was placed alive into a plastic bag, carried to the groud floor, and released onto Centennial Mall.

*Refrigerator for those outside the midwest or under 30.

Didn't even think twice about the word icebox 'til I read the asterisked comment. "Legal", however, threw me for a loop. Was wondering if maybe that was the name of an elf for a good few minutes there...

Legal - Department next to ours, filled with lawyers. We don't know what they do. We don't ask. Occasionally we have to request that they simmer down a bit, as one of them has a penchant for ghoulish, bloody, loud stories involving animal cadavers.

I had a friend once who used to tell this story about a bloated dead horse in the middle of the summer...that does get unnerving after awhile. Sympathy!
