Jack Chick is an American fundamentalist - emphasis on 'mental' - tractmeister, and though it's hard to tell from his work, he's serious as a heart attack. This of course does not stop thousands of ChickFans from laughing their asses off at his fucking insane worldview.
This makes him very angry - and litigious - when he hears about it, which only makes it funnier.
mun had a road safety talk today, everybody else laughed at sex jokes, and drunk jokes and swearing. mun laughed when the girl got killed. i think she needs some more electris shock treatment.
Do you guys get the graphic training films like we got? "Highway of Agony" was a favorite, as I recall. (Do they even use films in classrooms anymore, or is it all on stupid video?)
We had actual films with enormous, noisy projectors. They were wonderful.
Sometimes, if we were unlucky, we had film strips - slide shows with accompanying vinyl records that BEEP!ed every time you were supposed to change the slide.
I experienced the best of both worlds. We still got to see those glorious film strip films when i was in elementary school, before making the move over to those really clunky-looking top-loading VCR's. Everybody always wanted to be the one who got to turn the film strip projector and sit at the back of the room on the counter. Good times, good times.
We had the top-loaders, too, but I cannot recall a single instance of a teacher successfully operating one. The machine being wheeled into the class was a signal that a full half-hour of video snow and frustrated boredom was sure to follow.
