Put the Steve of Gondor medal in the mail to Isildur this afternoon. She's in one of them there foreign countries you read so much about, which meant filling out a Customs form. Customs' two main concerns, not unlike those of the publishers of Shonen Jump, are CONTENT and VALUE. "Um...well...it's a medal thing made out of papier mache and string, basically..."

I hate those pitying looks from the Post Office guy. "Put 'medal.' And what's it worth?"

"Uh...diddly? Maybe diddly squat?"

"Put 'gift.'"

"Thank you."

I once sent someone a homemade flogger, constructed from cotton string (with plastic twine for the handle) and hand-dyed purple.

I put "decorative tassel," marked it "gift," and listed the value as L5 (about the cost of the materials).

It went through.

Nah, it wasn't a hassle. It was more of a "Say what?"

:chortling: Grandly funny! We *know* why Agent Kay went to a Post Office in his post-first-MIB-stint.

I needed a laugh today... thank you!!
