The Apex AD-1200. Circuit City sells them for about $60 and you can get an even better deal on an open box. The unit is butt ugly and has no LCD display, but if you can find one with the white Kodak sticker you can hack it with the remote into an all-region player.

All-region means you can play DVDs from other countries that won't play on US (region 1) players.
