"For the first time on a 'Star Trek' series, we're going to be dealing with a mission to save Earth," Berman said in an interview with U.K. magazine Star Trek Monthly.

I sometimes wonder if the following is the kind of thought process:
"How can we get people to watch the show?"
"Good characters, stories, dialogue, and development?" (though I don't know who associated with this project would ever even think of that as a joke...)
"Naw. How about if we strip Scott naked?"
"That might work. Are you sure that's enough; that might only tet the girls, and you know how they're useless for ratings and advertising."
"What if we have Scott naked in decon and put Jolene and the Asian girl in there with him, also in their underwear and sweating?"
"That's it! And if that's not enough, we can have them rub one another's bodies with the decon goo..."
It's just..pandering and dreadful.
And then there's the way Berman and Braga insisted that the very things that made Capt'n Katie a raging psychotic loon who was a danger to herself and her crew were the reason she was a good captain even though she was a woman.
Nothing good to say.
