V. strange dream. I was in a discount store, like a Wal-Mart or Shopko only smaller. In among the usual stuff they had a glass case with a live ostrich in it. I was very irate because the case was entirely too small for the poor thing, and it barely had room to turn around.

Went to look for someone to complain to, and one of the aisles was blocked by a clerk who was showing off a giant pangolin on a leash. I mean, this thing was a good six feet high, and they were trotting it around for the kids to annoy. It looked completely miserable.

I'm pretty sure there aren't giant pangolins, but that's beside the point.

I certainly hadn't heard of a giant pangolin before. But it sounded like a perfectly reasonable name for an animal I'd never encountered.

What did the giant pangolin look like? I'm really quite curious, now.

Oh, those're really really really cool!!!

I am hideously uninformed, but they are cool nonetheless.

"...and then the giant pangolin bit off the head of the nasty clerk. And all of the nasty little children, too! Then, snuffling gratefully at her sympathy, it broke open the boxes of Order of the Phoenix and gave Princess Ann a copy early. For free. THE END."
