Though I strongly disagree with the author's contention that the badness of Space: 1999 is less entertaining than The Real friggin' World, for God's sake.

My mother used to watch that show. She always complained that it was grim and serious and had no sense of humor, unlike Star Trek, but she watched it. It still seems odd to me that the thing I have in common with both my parents (both deceased) is a love of sci-fi movies, books, and tv.

Um, by "that show" I meant Space 1999, not The Real World.

Thank God for that! I kinda figured.

Space: 1999 can be very funny. Just not, as a rule, on purpose.
