It's a balmy 60 degrees here. The sun is shining....

Okay, enough taunting. *hands Ann a cup of hot chocolate with little marshmellows*

It's a sign of how low a Great Lakes January makes you sink that it's about thirty-three degrees here and it feels fucking fabulous. But we'll be getting your snow sometime tonight or early tomorrow, no fear.

By the way, everyone who responds to posts like this by taunting you about their own balmy weather should realize I know where they live and I like to watch things bleed. *whistles casually, pulls on STARKWEATHER 4-EVER T-shirt*

At least it's fluffy this time. And I got the hell out of the house.

Mom, however, is a ticking time bomb. If we still had a pet, I know I would come home to find it dismembered and put up in jars in the basement.

Oh, come on--nothing like a little fresh gerbil conserve to warm those winter bones.

You still living in Nebraska?

If so, the Union Pacific Railroad wants you to stop griping about the weather, because it's in direct conflict with their current brainwashing program of "Move to Omaha! Omaha is Good! Omaha is the new Seattle! You will love Omaha's Lovely, Gentle Weather" that they're trying to feed us here in St. Louis.

It's true. I have seen it. The little green men who whisper in my ear pointed it out to me the other day.

Y'know, I was just commenting a few weeks back that we haven't had a winter where you could tunnel through the snowbanks in YEARS. Then I looked out today and realized that, at least here in Milwaukee, you CAN. Some of them, at any rate.

I bet you could build some GREAT tunnels out your way.
