Our polling place moved from the Slightly Depressing Methodist Church to the Old Peoples Home. The OPH is really quite nice. They've just tarted the place up, and the polling station was in a HUGE ballroom with a rather amazing drop ceiling. You could look up between the bits of ceiling and see the mysterious ductwork even higher up. It looked neater than it sounds.

The OPH's band was rehearsing in another room, so as we walked in, we could hear them struggling through "This Is My Country." It was as though the Temperance Seven were playing off in the back. Very keen.

And we got stickers.

Our polling place was a methodist church too.. what's with that?

Are they too good for their polls to be set up in our Presbyterian churches right across teh street? :P Or even the baptist one, across the other street? ^_^

My apartment building is right in front of a senior's home and right next to a funeral home. I love telling people that, because it never fails to make me giggle. Them, not so much.

Was the OPH band actually composed of OPs? If so, keen!

I think so. Either that, or elementary school children.

They give you an I VOTED TODAY! sticker to slap on your chest. Here is a typical design, from Maine:

Ours have flags.

You know, one of the reasons why I do early voting? Because my polling place is a Baptist Church. Now that's scary.
