Nov. 2nd, 2004 07:10 pmOur polling place moved from the Slightly Depressing Methodist Church to the Old Peoples Home. The OPH is really quite nice. They've just tarted the place up, and the polling station was in a HUGE ballroom with a rather amazing drop ceiling. You could look up between the bits of ceiling and see the mysterious ductwork even higher up. It looked neater than it sounds.
The OPH's band was rehearsing in another room, so as we walked in, we could hear them struggling through "This Is My Country." It was as though the Temperance Seven were playing off in the back. Very keen.
And we got stickers.
