I finished my Gretchen's Gramma blankie. It's the kind where you take two lengths of fleece, cut fringe around the edges, and then knot them so the two layers make a sandwich. Except with no middle, so really they make two slices of bread. Look, stop confusing me!

Mine took forever because I made one side with pieced-together fleece remnants from my tub-o-fabric. (The other side is a length of Harry Potter Flying Car fabric.) But once it was done and knotted -- oh, it's the warmest thing ever! Screw you, winter fuel bill!

You, however, don't need to sew anything at all. And if you can get your fleece on sale, snuggly comfort can be yours for around 10 bucks. Here are instructions:

Thanks, Gretchen's Gramma!

Ooo! Careful! There may be a thingie where you're not supposed to give tiny sprogs microfleece because it can build up carbon dioxide. Or monoxide. Whichever it is that sprogs make. Anyway, it may have the potential to suffocate, so do some research first. (I know you shouldn't give them those lamb's fleece pads. Even though they're soooooooooo cozynnnnzzzzzzzzzz...)
