New alarm clock. Makes bird sounds rather than stabbing me in the head with a big knife.

Quality of life significantly improved for $13. Actually I bought it with a gift certificate, so $0.

Oh, cool! My roommate has one that makes a noise like church bells. Really loud church bells.

As for my alarm, it's the standard beeping noise. But I've started to block it out by now. These days it doesn't start to wake me up until around the fourth or fifth time I hit snooze. Even after that I abuse the snooze button a little further.

I don't know if I'd like church bells or not. I supose it'd depend on the tone.

I have never been able to get used to the beep. It's just not going to happen. (I also have to keep the clock out of reach, so I can't hit the snooze button.)
