I've done something really horrible.
I've...oh jesus...I've been buying records at Wal-Mart. I'm sorry but HEAR ME OUT, OKAY? I hate going there. But they're the only place in town that carries any J-Pop. At all. And they're really cheap. I'm talking $8-$12, as opposed to $15-$25 anywhere else, and no shipping.
I know it's bad. I know. I know I'll pay for it in the end.
I'm not sorry. Just kind of appalled.

Date: 2006-06-29 08:01 pm (UTC)Yeah, Best Buy here has a massive Music en Espanol section. I cry at their World Music section...the most "international" thing they sell is Twelve Girls Band. *sob*
Actually, the place with the best selection of World Music, other than Amazon, is Borders. Which is really great except their CDs start at $16.98. Unless I have a coupon, I never buy there. I just scan the shelves for ideas and order with Amazon.

Date: 2006-06-29 08:19 pm (UTC)I suppose I could look at B&N's record department, but yeah, that whole price thing. Which makes me a giant weenie-ass, since the actual import titles go for, what, $40?
Curse you, typesetters!
And Japan for Sale comes from Sony; it was the first J-Pop CD that had a release party at Wizzywig. Probably.
