Been enjoying Ellie's Terry Pratchett characters in her sketchblog, and decided to baaaaaaaaaaaaaaaah! sorry try my own, since I'm reading Thief of Time. Here's Miss Susan and the Death of Rats:

She doesn't actually wear glasses, but I thought they might give her something to assist in staring meaningfully at her students.

If you've never read Mr Pratchett's work, do give it a try. The Discworld series is comic fantasy for people who find comic fantasy loathesome (no feghoots here!), and a very long fantasy series for people who utterly despise very long fantasy series.

Wonderful Susan, and that's a perfect Death of Rats. :) I drew a Vimes a while back, but haven't taken a crack at Discworld characters in a while...

I love Terry's books, but I have a secret shame... I have no idea what happened at the end of The Last Continant. Guess I'm just dense. <:)

I...erm...it's been so long since I read it, I can't say. I know it ended...

Is your Vimes online anywhere? I'd love to see him.

It was a weird book (what? Discworld books weird?? Perish the thought! >:)), and I just didn't get the ending... *shrug*

Oh, my Vimes is here: http://www.iprimus.ca/~dnhicks/vimes.JPG
I've had... many complaints about this picture. "He looks good, but do this, and this, and in THIS part of the book THIS happens and it doesn't look like how *I* thought he'd look..."
Oy. *rubs temples*
It's MY interpretation, silly Elfwood people! >:)

I think that's a common problem with doing written-based fanart, tho. There's no real visual to go on, beyond your imagination.

Oh btw, my brother really liked that 'patriotic Scully doppleganger' drawing you did a while back.

Him: "What's that?"
Me: "Scully!"
Then he got this really stupid/happy expression on his face and wandered away going "Yeah! Scully!"

I don't understand teenagers. O_o

I didn't understand them even when I was one, but tell him thank you from me.

That's beautiful.

I'm going to go whine some more now that I can't come close to this level.

Seriously, though, why hasn't somebody snapped you up and paid you inordinate amounts of money for all this talent that you have spewing forth from every orifice?

No whining! Go be Indigo really hard and do cool Indigo stuff! Now! Now!

As for my failed career in the arts, I'm not quite sure, but I think it may have something to do with my complete lack of discipline, ambition, and interest. Also I have the attention span of a mayfly with a learning disability.

And you don't want to hear about my orifices, trust me. ;)

You know, the Death of Rats kinda reminds me of those Spy vs Spy characters.

Miss Susan is really cool. So is Death of Rats, actually.

Yes it is. But I'm trying to figure out how to make a stuffed one, so I can't say so.
