Thanks to you, I spent two hours on ebay last night and will soon be the proud owner of many fine Korean paper products.

OH GOD THE DIARIES DID YOU SEE THE DIARIES AAAAAAAHHHHHH.

Damn those postcards are nice. The lady who did the Oz watercolors did a really nice bunch for The Little Prince. Unfortunately they've been withdrawn since they were sort of kind of unlicensed by the publishers.

I got one of the 2012 planners and it's so beautiful and everyone at my site will be jealous of the cuteness.

I was tempted by the Arabian Nights cards, but got a bunch of notebooks instead.

Wait. I did see that one. The kitty sort of creeped me out with its Joan D'Arc staring off into the heavens thing.

I got this one, in blue:

Blue Top yay!

Despite spending the first 18 years of my life and the non-college parts of the next 4 in that area, driving past it is mostly what I did/do too. I think I've eaten there maaaaaybe twice.

I...wasn't entirely sure that it was still functioning, except that they turned the neon on at night. It had that potentially abandoned look, not unlike the Tastee Inn here:

From: [identity profile] annlarimer.livejournal.com
This one's just a regular moleskine with blank pages. If you paste in a lot of stuff (and by 'you' I mean 'me'), you have to judiciously remove pages to keep the binding from splitting and the book from going totally accordion. Although if the binding splits, well, that's why God made Hello Kitty duct tape.

I also like the Gallery Leather planners, (http://www.barnesandnoble.com/w/2012-weekly-desk-teal-sand-planner-calendar-gallery-leather/1101055719) which have slightly larger pages and flexi covers, combined with strong paper and a great binding, not to mention a tendency to go on deep, deep clearance when outdated. This year's are in somewhat unfortunate 80s pastels. (The calendar pages don't matter, since they're covered with stuff anyway.) Exacompta (http://www.shopwritersbloc.com/exacompta.html) Basics are super nifty, too, with or without their leather covers.

Really, anything with a nice sewn binding and paper you like will serve you well.

I may have Opinions About Notebooks. >.>

The tornado was...last year, I think? But it touched down in front of the house.
