HoYay - Abbreviation of "Homoeroticism yay!" Derived, as nearly as I can tell, from "Vampires yay," a line from an old Buffy the Vampire Slayer. Phrase used in media fandom, in the context of series with blatant gay subtext such as Smallville, or to encourage one to enjoy slashiness in general. I first saw it used on televisionwithoutpity.com, but I don't know if it originated there.
Examples: "I gave in and wrote a Wesley/Gunn story. I have embraced the HoYay." "I enjoy the HoYay as much as the next girl, but I just don't see them as slashable."
