Also, the bird noises made by my alarm clock apparently sound like some sort of deathmatch challenge if you're a cardinal*.

ALARM: Tweet tweet tweet tweet!
CARDINAL (in bush next to the window): Say what?
ALARM: Tweet tweet tweet tweet!
CARDINAL: What? You did NOT say that! If you say that again...
ALARM: Tweet tweet tweet tweet!
CARDINAL: I WILL KILL YOU, MOTHERFUCKER!
ALARM: Tweet tweet tweet tweet!
CARDINAL: Goddammit, where's my piece? Where's--DAMMIT I HAVE NO HANDS!
ALARM: Tweet tweet tweet tweet!
CARDINAL: Fine. You win this round.

I like nature.

hee. But that exchange is even funnier if there's an elderly priest with a big pointy hat lurking in the bush outside your window.

And more disturbing, yes. heh.

Back in the 50s, Mom and Dad's neighborhood was plagued by a peeping Tom. Mom saw him one night, and dad fired at him with a shotgun. He missed, which was fortunate because of that whole going-to-jail thing. And also because the peeper turned out to be the neighborhood priest.

I hardly remember the man, but from the family stories that have been passed down, the idea of him with a gun gives me the willies. He must've been like the woman in Monty Python with the flame thrower. "You see it really could use some kind of safety catch--oh, SORRY!"

Too funny. It reminds me of Ecology class where we played birdsong and watched the world go nuts. Good times. :)

I kind of think it'd be funnier if it had been Tim Curry playing Cardinal Richelieu outside the window.

Hey, Ann. Why is it that everytime I see something like Psycho Sally (http://www.worlddominationtoys.com/toys_psychosally.html) ("with motorized 'stabbing action'"), my first thought is, "Ooh, I wonder if Ann knows about this?
