The child may also be dying.

The Fourth Doctor was not at Target this year (I always end up buying groceries on Halloween), so I could not shout, "Doctor! Thank God you're here!" as he went off in search of beer and Andy Capp's Hot Fries.*
*Target does not actually sell these - you have to go to suss gas stations or Dollar Tree - but I like saying Andy Capp's Hot Fries because he's, like, the worst possible character to license for snack food. "Oh Andy Capp, you wife-beating drunk." It's like selling Zodiac Killer Liquorice Hoods.

Oct. 3rd, 2022 12:24 pmAmazon Music started working again all by itself, which was not unexpected. My downloaded music completely disappeared from my phone, which was unexpected.
Today I got a very, very long and detailed email from Amazon tech support instructing me to try all the things that they had me try last week, but slower. It literally made me nauseous to read.

My music streaming went down and I spent Three. Hours. in chat with Amazon help last night. No, my connection is fine. I tested it. If my signal were any stronger I could talk to aliens. Also this didn't work when I was out of the house. Yes, I have it set to cellular as well. Yes, I reinstalled the software. The software upgrade is what did this. Yes I have cleared my cache. Yes I have turned the phone off and on. Yes I have signed out and signed in. Oh you're suddenly giving me to a new person? Great. No, I can't try this on another phone. For some reason I only own one phone. No, it doesn't work on the PC either. No, it doesn't work on the tablet. Oh, you're sending me to a new person? No, my connection is fine repeat til fade repeat til fade repeat til fade.

baby's first 'rona test
Aug. 17th, 2022 09:47 amHome yesterday with general crappiness and sore throat, so I gave myself a post office Covid test. If you haven't done this, you will be glad to hear that it is not particularly scary or annoying, unlike the early ones where they shove a stick clear up your face and you have to sit on your hands so you don't reflexively punch the nurse. But boy howdy it will make your sinuses produce the goods.
I do not have Covid. Which is kind of a shame because I just bought a week's worth of groceries and at my job we get paid to stay home and isolate. On the other hand? I don't have Covid. Also I am apparently not pregnant, so no one has to call the Pope.

Aug. 9th, 2022 09:15 amTalk it Through update is delayed because I spent yesterday having to replace by back doorknobs, and the locksmith told me I needed pliers when I actually needed a mini bolt cutter, which is coming from Amazon because I can't afford the hardware store again and, more importantly, don't want to go back there because it is awful. Also I lost a fight with a thorn bush, everything is pain and I'm covered in that black carbon crap.

Whether or not you decide to import your LJ over here, don't forget that doing so will not automatically import your photo gallery. You'll need to go in to your gallery and save your pictures one at a time to a drive.

Kindle Fire, unsurprisingly, will not let you download your art, even if you're signed in to your own account and using its web browser. It will let you take screen grabs if that's your last resort, but this will be very annoying.
A smartphone will work perfectly well if you have enough storage, and then have a way to send your pics somewhere else. Mine uploaded to my Google drive without a problem. I haven't checked yet to see if Amazon photo took it automatically, since my phone's awful software separates downloads and photos.
